We are remodeling our kitchen and have fell in love with glass tile for the back splash. If you have this in your kitchen, please help me by answering a couple of questions.

I would like to DEemphasize the pink hue that the cabinets have. I think that the dark green granite brings it out even more. We can’t afford to remodel but right now the backsplash is just white wall. I love glass tile – are there colors I can use to make the cabinets look more white rather than pink? Thanks!!!

I live in an older home with formica laminate back splash can I install my glass tile back splash over that or do I have to remove the formica from the wall ?

My husband and I just bought a new place. This is not a forever home, just somewhere we will be living for the next 2-4 years so we’re trying to keep personal preferences out of it and would like for it to appeal to the masses when we go to sell. I’ve looked at color visualizers, paint swatches, and am a little lost.

I have already painted the stone fireplace bright white and will be changing the ceiling fan to something a little more streamline.

We plan on tearing down the mantel and replacing it with a plasma tv (we will sell the tv with the place)

Any suggestions? Specifics would be helpful.. we were thinking about gray- but I like darker gray and would be afraid it would look so drab and boring. Thanks!

The condo that I decided to buy has oak cabinets with a natural finish and I can pick the color granite. Im leaning toward a feng shui atmosphere but I cannot figure out the best color. Would an absolute black counter and backsplash be too much? Would it look better with some red glass tile? I read that blue, black and red are bad for the kitchen in feng shui. The condo is open so the kitchen will be visible all the time. We like the reds and oranges and might do that in the living room with our brown furniture. Im lost! Help! Would red be too much in the kitchen if we plan on doing it in the living room also?

Guys have you ever been to ikea in emeryville . In one of thier custom made kitchens they have put grey glass tile all over the kitchen. Does anyone knows the name and brand of that glass tile? Please let me know if anyone does. ( The kichen cabinets are of dark brown with grey counter top and grey glass tile)

I have been searching for a kitchen backsplash for awhile and I finally decided on this particular tile. It’s a mosaic red, orange, and antique gold glass tile. I found this at lowes in a book. The book listed a interior designer, but I would like to know where she bought it! Please help! I have looked for all sorts of tiles and this one is perfect!

i put up glass tile on my kitchen backsplash. i grouted today. i am unable to remove the grout haze this evening however. it is causing the tile to look terrible. any tips? i don’t want to scratch it.

I have selected 2 inch frosted glass tile for the backsplash behind the cooktop and I have hired a professional installer. I have two issues. One is that he says the grout lines are small and the job does not need to be sealed because it will make the grout darker. And two…when he cut the tile for the sides and corners, the color came off the back and he is telling me I need to have a moulding installed to hide these pieces that have lost their color.. He says all glass tile loses it’s color when cut into small pieces. What’s up? Should I go back to the manufacturerregarding the color loss, and should I insist that it be sealed to protect against grease and splashes.
