my cabinets are creamy white, not bright white. a couple more questions also…

my appliances are white, but would stainless look better, since they donut really match the white of the cabinets?

the floor is an older whitish with blue veining tile. We will be chancing this too, but what would look good.. a darker tile or stay lighter? Would a laminate wood floor look good>? I have seen some that look really good now a’days? thanks for any tips!

I guess it’s technically the wall splash since the tile does go about 8 inches up the wall. It’s a new house, kitchen and living room are like one big room. The living room is a light tan/almost peachy in the afternoon, with white plantation shutters and molding. The kitchen has light oak cabinets with white appliances and light tan tiles looks like travertine. I would like the style to be kind of Americana/cape cod or a southwestern feel. We tried a deep brick red and it’s way to dark…what color or any other ideas on inexpensive backsplash materials?

What are some good DIY ideas for a kitchen backsplash? I’m looking for something that is also budget friendly and fairly easy to install, but will add some value to my kitchen. I was originally looking at "tin" paneling, but can’t quite find a good color match. I have antique brass light fixtures and cabinet knobs / drawer pulls and black appliances. There is currently no backsplash. Any suggestions?

I have a gray counter top, black appliances, and off white walls in my kitchen. i am having a heck of a time picking color out for tile for my blacksplash. And should it be all one solid color or mixed colors. my kitchen is a fairly small one too. so i am trying to lighten it up and make it seem bigger. Need to move!!!!

We are buying a home! I really don’t know what to do with kitchen though! Kitchen has white and forest green tiles under the cabinets in between the countertops. The cabinets are a dark brown wood and the floor is a light tan tile. Countertops are a lighter/sage green laminate. White appliances The room is painted white. Please help me pick what color paint would go in there?!

The floor will be saltillo tiles, the cabinets light maple, the countertop blue tiles, and the appliances are white. I want to find a backsplash that will go well with different paint colors, so I have more freedom there, and for possible resale. Any suggestions?

i am a bit of a country woman at heart and the rest of my home is slightly neutral colours and i want my kitchen to be warm and inviting. the current colours are powdery blue walls, warm slate gray countertops and white cabinets. the cabinets are falling apart and have cheap grey handles which match the countertop. the floor is white and blue tiles that i would love to replace with ceramic but cannot afford it. can anyone suggest colours for the walls and an alternate flooring possibilty and maybe backsplash ideas. we have white appliances as well.

also need a way to repair the countertop hopefully not replacing it as we have limited funds entering this project.

I’m remodeling my kitchen using a 50’s theme: I have the old appliances, stove/fridge (white) and dinette set (red table/white chairs) already. What type of lighting was used in this era? Recessed? I’m going to paint my cabinets (not sure what 50’s color), what kind of countertop should I use? Stainless? Of course I’m going with the black/white checkered floor and same color mini tile for the backsplash. Maybe I chrome outer edge of the countertop? What colors were the walls primarily- white with a hint of coor as the cabinets (50’s teal/blue)? I need help choosing colors being a single guy. I can’t match for shite. Any ideas I on what was popular back then I would appreciate!

My husband and I are doing a remodel on our kitchen, we are putting in black tile countertops, beadboard backsplash and painting the walls a vintage yellow. We replaced our stove with a black and stainless steel one, however our dishwasher and refrigerator wont be in for 6-8 weeks (we had to order them). Can I just paint my fridge and dishwasher until the new ones come in. I dont want white appliances for the holidays. here is my before picture

We are going to start remodeling our kitchen this weekend and I need some ideas for decoration. The cabinets will be white with black countertops and the floor is black and white checkers. We are putting a silver backsplash and have black appliances. Oh and the walls are almost white, but just a little off. We have alot of empty wallspace and I need stuff to put there. I would like to have some sort of a theme but I don’t really know what. Any ideas? Thanks!!
