Cutting glass tile?

I’m installing a backsplash comprised 1" x 1" glass tiles. They are 8mm thick and have a colored backing to them. I’m concerned about how to go about making sure I get a clean cut without screwing up the colored backing. Can I still score and snap these tiles or do I need a wet saw?

Don’t waste your time, do it right, get a wet saw from a rental place.

Since it s glass this is no glaze and that , when scoring and breaking regular tile the glaze is what gives it strength you score the glaze when snapping tile.. You ll need a wet saw and a good blade.. 1×1 glass being so small be care full when cutting, hold glass on both sides and wear glasses because chips can fly sometimes GL

The best way to install the 1" tile is to start from the bottom and work your way up. if it falls between tiles, get a piece of decorative wood trim to attach to your cabinets and cover the gap.
